New Passion - Learning how to knit and crochet!

Hi Sunshines! Been very busy this week, working the booth over at Goat Feathers, learning how to and making cute little primie baby hats! I've always wanted to learn  this beautiful craft and have managed to meet some very brave volunteers that are showing me how, giggling all the way! Oh NO, another hobby! but I love it!

Here are a couple of pictures, short post but gotta run! Hope you are having a wonderful week so far!

I've made three so far, and I'm on a roll!

They are all different sizes. Made the left one first, the right one then the middle. The little middle one was a really different yarn from the first, a lot thinner, and after starting over a couple of times, lol, I think I got the hang of it! :) Nothing is perfect yet but it will keep those little babies warm I hope!

I also made a Granny Square and if you tilt your head just right, it really does look S Q U A R E! :) Actually I'm calling it a "coaster!"

Hugs........x o  =^.^=

It's Friday Already!???

Where did the time go! Another week down! Wow! Being retired seems like the hours, days, weeks just fly by! I am going to have to get back to that day timer schedule to get myself organized on a "retired life" program and back on track!

I am having WAY too much fun staying up late and getting up late whereas I used to get up WAY early, at O dark thirty :), and stay up late! LOL I'm a mess! :) So this weekend I will be starting a new schedule for the kat! Organize what requires to be done in each room, I'm still editing for the shop, and now a new Etsy store, Linen Picker on Etsy, film at 1100! :)

My Sis is also retired and we have discussed the "stages" of retirement and are realizing that a homemaker with kids schedule, a work, and a retirement life schedule are WAY different. And you have to adjust, well I'm having so much fun I feel like an 18 year old with no curfew! Oh hahahahahahahahaha I kill myself! No one is watching me! HA

Actually one can get caught up with so many other passions, like I have, and also learning so much with my computer and camera, cause I have the time now, that the days are on high speed! fly by!  :) I think I am twirling! Meaning, I go from room to room, re-arrange, move stuff, edit, then go to another room and make another mess! HAHA BUT I am having fun nonetheless!

Mid week I managed to injure my foot and am house bound waiting for the swelling to go down :( so I am sharing some random pictures from my walk earlier this week.

Some of the pines with the sun shining through are from around the Boulder City Cemetery. The pictures of Old Glory also. There are a lot of military up here and I have friends there as well that I worked with, so I always visit, smile, salute, bow my head in thanks for all they and the others have done to keep us and America free, God bless them and their families!

I love you guys, have a wonderful weekend! xo kat =^.^=

Quaint Streets Another Walk

Hi Sunshines, well it was another tremendously wonderful beauty of a day! Almost 70 deg again and I am SO happy and SO enjoying this lovely weather while I can! One and a half hours walk too! Good for me, fresh air, lots of pictures in my quaint little town. Side streets here we come! Let's get started down memory lane? Someone might just recognize a couple of these :)

I'm off for a nice dinner with place mat, the good china and my own "fresh fruit" drink, consisting of frozen blueberries in the bottom of a tall glass, lemon ice cubes and fresh water! I just keep adding water and you can eat the fruit when you are done! So good!

I missed tea time at 4, so later this evening, when it gets colder, I will be sitting in my favorite chair and a stack of books!

While strolling home, I did catch a few trees with the sun beaming through. Lovely. I would love to share all the pictures I took but there were 365 of them when I downloaded! I guess I get carried away!

The roses in everyone's yard were gorgeous, they had that shabby wrinkle look, varying colors within, just lovely, delicate and prestine! Some were so large and just wrapped so tightly in the bud stage, almost saying I am too cold to bloom! The colors were muted vivid with so much texture. I just wanted to dead head and stand there and mess with their gardens! Just STOP ME! :)

If I only had scissors with me! I would be running with them AND the roses to my home vase! :) Can you picture that! LOL Hollaring wo hoo all the way home! :)

I've made yet another decision today! Since I love taking pictures and that is one of my passions, I am going to save for that digital Canon! I have my eye on this one

Seems Costco has a great price and accessories to boot, a gadget bag, 8GB SD Card and two Lenses, a DVD and Mini HDMI! Wow  This five star Canon  EOS Rebel T2i DSLR is a great camera! Canon makes the best and that is all I will own! Currently I use a cute little Canon PowerShot. I love this camera! As you can see it takes great pictures too! Oh Canon..... I luvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv u so! :)

Have a great evening! xo Kat =^.^=
