Christmas Decor
Hello Sunshines, Happy Holidays and Merry Christmas.
Since I've been a little under the weather this week I haven't decorated much this season, I didn't really have time to decorate the lawn for the kiddies in the neighborhood but tonite I did put up my wreath I made on the front door, and one in the house to look at. I remember making these and was a fun time long ago.
So I'm sharing a few pictures so far :) I feel so blessed and thankful this year! He is watching over me each day and keeps me healthy and strong! :) Now I celebrate Him.
My Sis and I lost our Mom and Dad. She passed during this season many years ago, but it seems like yesterday to me. He passed a few years later during December as well. It hurts, it's rough, my heart aches.
This is a sad time of year for me, this and Mother's Day, don't get me near the Hallmark cards, I need Kleenex! We used to talk every day, sometimes more than once! I miss her laugh. I miss asking her for advice, I miss her. She was a good listener, and even now, I know she hears me :)~ now my poor Sis gets the phone calls :) but we are here for each other! Another reason I am so very blessed, to have such a wonderful Sis! I love you Max! Anyway, here are a few pictures so far. Thanks for stopping by! :)
I hope all of you have a wonderful holiday season with your family and friends. Hugs Kat =^.^=
This picture is one I fell in love with as soon as I saw it at a thrift store of all places. It is on cardboard, no frame no glass but beautiful don't you think? It is on my mantle and will stay there all year. Somehow it speaks to me. I think it is lovely.
I joined in also at Common Ground blog :) on the 9th! :)

Glad you're feeling better. Try to concentrate on your beautiful memories of your parents. My parents have been gone for some time, and I still miss them especially during Christmas season.
ReplyDeleteFor nine years Christmas was such a sad time for me. Only in the last four years have I felt like rejoicing and truly enjoying the season. You see, my son didn't acknowledge me for those nine years. However, we now have a beautiful relationship - that being the reason why I moved from my beloved Boulder City to Florida - which is a Christmas miracle in itself. We are the reason for the season.
Love your house. Do you live in the older part of town? I lived on Avenue K off of Utah.
OMG. Your religious thrift find is a fabulous keeper, and I would certainly have purchased it myself. I'd definitely keep it out all year long, too.
Where is your booth located in Goatfeathers?
Take care.
Ellie
Hi Ellie, oh my goodness, thank you so much for the lovely comments, yep it is a hard time right now in more ways than I care to mention:( I am glad you have your relationship back! Yeah! I know Ave K, believe me my first choice was the older part of BC! The "Dam" houses! Small, very quaint, built to house the Hoover Dam workers and their families back in the 1930s! :)(For those that don't know how historic this city is :)
ReplyDeleteMy home was built in the 70s. It is ok, I love it, single story, no carpet! haha My booth is in the Country Store under the TV that plays all the old commercials and music, currently playing Christmas movies, its great! :) Hope all is well with you in Florida now! Happy Holidays, New Year and most of all Merry Christmas :) Hugs Kat =^.^=
