insanity, and i'm not talkin about the workout!

walls are you listenin???
i'm talkin to my self as i walk around in the house! this is insane! just insane, this weather has now broken the record at our las vegas intl airport, mccarran! to the tune of 116 degrees! this is per the weather wunderground site here which just now reported 117 degrees here in my quaint little hot hot hot hot did i say hot town!!!! wow!!!!!!!!!!!!!

insanity, and not the work out! lol

the water is 89 degrees!

89! who needs a cover! lol

blowing up a raft later, sleeping here! lol

under the patio 114 and counting up!!!! all right already!
last night was 102 at 930 pm if that tells you anything about the desert! yeah! i love it here, did i tell you that too!? i might have some swamp land for sale as well! lol

here is my ugly reality everyone! you know i love to take (pretty ones)  pictures of my garden, just love it, however, the ugly reality is this, how it has looked for the past week! 50 bucks worth of sunshade materials to hopefully save what little efforts of mine with my tiny little gardens, herbs and a couple of tomato plants that are hanging on for dear life! thank you Lord!
Yes, thankful to the Lord for the ac and the water and my home!

i hate to even show you these, however, i'm standing in my truth of how the garden looks in the dead of Summer! omgoodness! really! lol i guess we can't always take pretty blog worthy pics! hey, what you see is what you get sometimes, a huh!

i hope that the rest of the country is fending well with all of the weather upheaval lately!
Mother Nature can sometimes throw us curve balls! and not good ones!

they are hanging on under the shade cloth!

ok this is downright embarrassing! lol but it is working as long as the wind doesn't come up and i really hate saying the "w" word! see the kid gate! well the three amigos like to go in this little spot and mark it! under my laundry clothesline! i don't think so guys! lol so this keeps them out and the little lizzards in!

these little guys are in plastic pots, i water daily, they are under the cloth as well, so i guess there is something to say about this and clothespins and clotheslines! cause that is how it is hooked up!

i actually went under the cloth to take these! it is supposed to cut out 70% of the sun and the heat, we shall see huh! oon the other side of the shade cloth are two fountains, the water is so hot i change it daily for the birds around here, they all come to drink and take a bath! so cute! have you ever seen a bird panting like a dog! well, its sad, really sad.

i've had this frog for many years so many that his eyes are white glazed over from the sun!

yeah yeah we passed this yesterday! under heat watch until Monday at 8pm!

hey, try and stay cool everybody no matter where you are at! welcome to SUMMER!!!!??????? yikes! just remember to stay hydrated, drink lots of water, keep out of the sun and check on your friends, kids, pets and neighbors! :)
hugs......a........very........ sweaty kat! lol! =^.^=

  3. AHHH Yes, the summer temps in Boulder City. I remember them well. Heavy rains in Florida every day.

Planning a trip to my beloved Las Vegas/Boulder City in October. Hoping I can meet up with you for coffee , , , maybe not coffee. But tea for me.

Hoping you get some heat relief soon.
