Hi! Here are some pictures of my latest project!

It seems I never do only one thing at a time, who knew, so I have taken on three little pieces to up cycle and will be using in my home.

I said I would never paint in the heat again, but here I go again! Trying to get these pieces done before the heat arrives! Last week 100 degrees and it is only May!

The first is tall standard sewing machine table, the second is an end table and the third is the larger sewing cabinet.

The standard sewing machine table and the end table will be stacked, will take pics of that when in place. I have a third piece, already white, that will be the top of the two tables. They will fit in a small corner of my studio office. I can't wait to show you how this will fit!

The larger sewing cabinet will be for my new "where I create" area!

These pieces shown are the before and during. The final pics will be posted later today.

I paint with my own recipe of chalk paint, sand and seal with furniture or paste wax. Will link to the products as well.

I got so excited yesterday, the weather was nice, not too hot so I could get these done, I let them dry completely overnight and I'm getting ready to go out back and sand and wax.

......to be continued.....................................:)

Hi there! I finished, in the wind! Oh my allergies! but, I am so very happy with the outcome! Here are some final pictures and the paste wax and sander I utilized, I highly recommend them!

Up-cycled storage chest

poor scratched top!

now yardsticks! and what great vintage handles, think from the 1940s-1950s! I love that design!

the front

the back, useful!

the latest garden beauty that arrived on Mother's Day!

This was a cute little three drawer chest found at a garage sale for a whole five dollars!

Instead of sanding the top, and painting her,  I decided to cut up some of my vintage yardsticks and newer ones from Home Depot and Lowe's and nail into the top!

I love how she turned out, very different, I can measure things on top, and store my sewing pieces inside the drawers.

An added bonus was she is on wheels! Yeah! I like how she turned out! She has since been polished, stained and waxed, more pictures soon!

hugs, =^.^=

Music Tuesday - Rockabye Baby Lullabye- ColdPlay

all of these CDs are wonderful! Enjoy!

Day Lillie? Full bloom this morning! Happy Monday Sunshines!

Well, it is 99 degrees here in Boulder city and according to the local weather guy 101 degrees in Las Vegas! Wow, am I feelin it already! :(

Today is what I call Chinese Laundry day here at the ol homestead, sweatin to the oldies and workin the tail off again! Dust (you can write your name in it!) will be long gone by this afternoon, as I am takin a tea break and puttin the feet up for a bit! These ol legs start hurtin when I walk way too much anymore! The brain on the other hand says HEY go for it! lol!!! Can you relate! :)

I think I did myself in last year, painting in the heat, so it has for sure taken a toll on me and it isn't even HOT yet! Oh well! I will be the one inside with the iced latte! lol!

Isn't she a pretty thing! Hope you enjoy your Monday! hugs  =^.^=
