homekeeping handbook Martha does it again!

ok, it's not like I haven't been keeping house and home for, lets say, a ton of years, but this book by Martha is just too good not to have around for reference.

Bravo Martha! Another great one! Tons of info, fabulous tips, not to mention just gorgeous pictures.  It is a must have for sure, check it out at the local library first to make sure. It runs about $28 or so, well worth it.

a whopping 744 pages, Martha Stewart's Homekeeping Handbook, The Essential Guide

to Caring for Everything in your Home, 2006 covers all aspects of homekeeping. 

this would, of course, be a great book or gift for a newlywed or that "seasoned homemaker" like
me!

the last Monday of February!

hello Sunshines, wow February went by in a flash! yes?

and this! is how I not only look today, but this is how I feel! lol

out in the sun! wo hooooooo! cleaning out the dead part of the gardens, before the weather

changes again!

our weather is strange, cold, hot, a little rain, then real windy! oh well, I know I'm not

alone here leaving you with some garden pics, hope you have a wonderful

...as January comes to an abrupt close......already.....i realize ...that...like most of you ............i always

have ......irons in the fire..............so to speak.........probably way too many for one person

too........but i think its way fun....and somewhat of a challenge......don't

you?....to complete them..........call them projects...........missions......laundry lists ......do do

lists................i had a few for January!............and i wasn't going to set a time to

complete................or list them here on the blog............................. and stress myself over it..........so i

am taking my little ol sweet time this year..........that is the fun of  completing things............when they

are done they are done......................and we can do the happy dance then...............and have fun taking

pictures................think i am approaching these fun things (another way of looking at tasks :) ..a little

different this year...................makin a list....................prioritizing that list..................then making a

move on it!

....i will, however, do the .....happy dance.....when i complete each and every one! I will maybe share

or not.........planning a garage/yard sale........again.......for me it's either way too hot or too cold.......

so there you go! :) yeah right!.....

....it has been a little warmer this week.......thank goodness......severe summer i think toped 113 deg

winter down to the freezing and below the mark....so far.......i know the weather is changing, but

really..............how are you attacking and planning your next project?...........however large or

small.......did you set a time...limit? or are you winging it this time..........like me! hugs and have a

body screams.....green.......when i'm under the weather as well.... ..so do you know your produce

codes?.................well i didn't but learned this ........recently..........

.............if the number on your fresh produce starts with a 4......then it is conventionally grown......

........if it starts with a 9...then it is organically grown........ .......and if it starts with an 8.......well it is

........genetically modified. .......who knew...........these beautiful pictures with this info ...is..found.....

french milled soaps, South of France

hi,

my sister recently sent me a fun package and i was so excited to see that is was a new

Farmers Almanac Gardening Guide for 2013 and a beautiful bar

of  South of France Vegetable Milled soap Shea Butter, natural beauty care moisturising Shea butter, french milled soap!

This soap is just wonderful, it is so nice to the skin and lathers beautifully

A rather large bar, we are guessing between us whose will last the longest!

Update: this soap is just wonderful! Lasted me 1 1/2 months! My Sis, not so long! she really loves it!
