Happy 4th of July God Bless America!
The Star-Spangled Banner
—Francis Scott Key, 1814
O say, can you see, by the dawn's early light,
What so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming?
Whose broad stripes and bright stars, thro' the perilous fight,
O'er the ramparts we watch'd, were so gallantly streaming?
And the rockets' red glare, the bombs bursting in air,
Gave proof thro' the night that our flag was still there.
O say, does that star-spangled banner yet wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave?
On the shore dimly seen thro' the mists of the deep,
Where the foe's haughty host in dread silence reposes,
What is that which the breeze, o'er the towering steep,
As it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses?
Now it catches the gleam of the morning's first beam,
In full glory reflected, now shines on the stream:
'Tis the star-spangled banner: O, long may it wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!
And where is that band who so vauntingly swore
That the havoc of war and the battle's confusion,
A home and a country should leave us no more?
Their blood has wash'd out their foul footsteps' pollution.
No refuge could save the hireling and slave
From the terror of flight or the gloom of the grave:
And the star-spangled banner in triumph doth wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave.
O thus be it ever when free-men shall stand
Between their lov'd home and the war's desolation;
Blest with vict'ry and peace, may the heav'n-rescued land
Praise the Pow'r that hath made and preserv'd us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto: “In God is our trust!”
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O'er the land of the free and the home of the brave!

Hat Tree
Hi Sunshines, showing you one of my, how can I make this girly pretty projects recently.
I had got this black hat tree, no before pics sorry, and when I was looking at it I saw teal, and a different knob to fill in the ugly holes at the end of each hat "arm."
Here are a couple of after pics, I love how it turned out! I dropped in my booth at Goat Feathers, and it was gone, so glad someone is enjoying this, it was a blast finding the knobs, the paint and seeing the finished product! And oh BTW, whoever made the hat stand tree, did a great job! We just had to girly it up a bit! :) Hugs and have a GREAT weekend! Kat =^.^=

Happy Friday Sunshines! Independence Day is close!
Getting ready for the weekend and a little work up on the booth at Goat Feathers here in town. This week has flown by and as usual working on more than one project at a time, gee, I could be a project manager!:)
Thinking how blessed we are to live in this great country, and be free! Remembering Independence Day, the meaning of it, take nothing for granted! EVER! Please keep our military and their families in your thoughts and prayers for wherever they may be, they are working very hard, and away from their families.
Recently you hear good deeds being reported in the newspapers, like strangers picking up a tab for a military family out to dinner or buying them a cuppa joe! :) One of my favorite sayings, is, "you reap what you sow" and whatever you give you get back triple fold. In other words, I guess, the Golden Rule huh. Here are just a few versions, found at The GoldenRule.net
Commonsensism: A version of the golden rule put into modern, non-religious terms that some people live by is, "Treat people the way you'd like to be treated".
Buddhism: 560 BC, From the Udanavarga 5:18- "Hurt not others with that which pains yourself."
Judaism: 1300 BC, from the Old Testament, Leviticus 19:18- "Thou shalt Love thy neighbor as thyself."
Hinduism: 3200 BC, From the Hitopadesa- "One should always treat others as they themselves wish to be treated."
Zoroastrianism: 600 BC, From the Shast-na-shayast 13:29- "Whatever is disagreeable to yourself, do not do unto others."
Confucianism: 557 BC, From the Analects 15:23- "What you do not want done to yourself, do not do to others."
Christianity: 30 AD, From the King James Version , 7:12- "Whatsoever ye would that others should do to you, do ye even so to them."
Stay cool, be kind, calm, watch the fireworks and be mindful of fire on the 4th! My heart goes out to all of those cities on fire right now and for the past month!
God Bless America, the people who make it strong, especially our Military members! I love my Air Force Family! Take care Sunshines! Thank you to the lovely Karen at The Graphics Fairy for the wonderful vintage free images! Love Kat =^.^=
